腹足纲，中腹足目，凤凰螺科，凤凰螺属。分布于澳大利亚东部至日本。生活于热带和亚热带海区，栖息于浅海岩砾底或砂底、潮间带至水深36米处，以藻类和有机碎屑为食。

This species belongs to the family of Strombidae,order of Mesogastropoda,also known as blood-mouthed Conch or red-mouthed Conch.Distributed in eastern Australia and Japan. It lives in the tropical and subtropical sea, and inhabits in the shallow rock or gravel bottom, the intertidal zone in the depth of 36 meters,mainly lives on algae and organic debris .
