软体动物门，腹足纲，中腹足目、锥螺科。菲律宾、中国东南沿海均有分布。塔形纺锥螺的外壳极为细长，幼贝时期可以将自己的贝壳举起，成贝部分将贝壳拖在后面而爬行，而大部份均将其壳后半段埋入砂泥底中。栖息在浅水区，水深约十公尺范围以内。

This species belongs to the family of Turritellidae,distributed in the Philippines, the southeast coast of China.The shape is extremely slender, young shells can rais their own shells, but adult shells will sometimescrawl carrying the shell, most of the shell will bury their half of the shell in the sand.Inhabited in shallow water, within a depth of about ten meters.
