别名花螺、泥螺、南风螺，属软体动物门、腹足纲、前鳃亚纲、新腹足目、蛾螺科，是生活于热带、亚热带海域的腐肉食性浅海底栖腹足类动物。在我国东、南海沿海、台湾海峡、日本沿海、泰国沿海均有分布。

This species belongs to the family Buccinidae,order of Neogastropoda,common known as flower conch.It’s a species of bivalve gastropods which lives in the tropical, subtropical waters of the carrion predatory shallow sea.Distributed in Chinese East Sea, the South Sea coast and the Taiwan Strait, also in the coast of Japan and Thailand coast.
