硬骨鱼纲，鲈形目，真鲈科。鲈鱼喜栖息于河口咸淡水，也能生活于淡水。主要分布于太平洋西部、我国沿海及通海的淡水水体中均产，东海、渤海较多。

This species belongs to the family of Percichthyidae，class of Osteichthyes.They like to habitat in the entrance of the brackish water,also in fresh water.They are mainly distributed in the western Pacific Ocean, Chinese coastal waters and freshwater , they are more produced in the East Sea, the Bohai Sea of China.
