俗称黄钻、黄颊鱼、竿鱼。属鲤形目，鲤科，雅罗鱼亚科，鳡属。中国除西北、西南外，由北至南平原地区的河流中均有分布。鳡鱼生活在江河、湖泊的中上层。游泳力极强，性凶猛，行动敏捷，常袭击和追捕其它鱼类。
