鲤形目,鲤科，分布于我国长江以南的平原地区。底层鱼类，适应性很强，多栖息于底质松软、水草丛生的水体。以食底栖动物为主的杂食性鱼类，多食螺、蚌、蚬和水生昆虫的幼虫等底栖动物。
